Directed by Alberto Gross, the play stars newcomer Bruno Núñez (‘La Mesías’).
As before’ is the new short film that we have produced from Ayhe with the director Alberto Gross. A work starring Bruno Núñez (‘La Mesías’), Mila Borràs (‘Creatura’), Meritxell Calvo (‘Smiley’), Oriol Vila (‘Té estoy amando locamente’) and Jofre Borràs from Tarragona.
Nomination for the Gaudí Awards 2023
After the nomination for best short film at the Gaudí Awards 2023 with ‘SOLO’, we repeat with Alberto in this family drama. We want to invite the viewer to reflect on how the world of adults affects the world of children. As our partner says, “Sometimes we think that children don’t know anything, but, in fact, children perceive everything and suffer a lot”.
Synopsis
“Como antes” explains how Hector (Bruno Núñez), a twelve-year-old boy, has to face his first birthday after his parents’ separation, which means that the family will have to celebrate separately and, contrary to what he would like, with two meals, two cakes and two families.
The magic formula
The play is directed by Alberto Gross, written by Tomàs Bayo and Alberto Gross, produced by Laura Egidos, David Aymerich and Alberto Aynés; and has the associated production of the production companies Ayhe and Contraria, who also worked in the development of the director’s debut film, ‘Catorce de marzo’.
Now, the short film team is facing the post-production of the project and we hope to premiere it in international festivals in the middle of 2024. In the meantime, we are also preparing the shooting of the short film ‘Abril’, a work of the young director Alexandra Iglesias, graduated in film directing at ESCAC, this coming March.
